Pioneer Days – Summer Camp

Heritage Museum of Montgomery County, Texas each year in July hosts “Pioneer Days,” a summer program for kids of the ages 8 through 11 years old. Cost of the Program is $45.00 per child.

Activities Include:

Churning Butter

Making beaded bracelets

Bow and arrow demostrations

Dipping candles

One Room Schoolhouse

Grinding Corn

Washing on rub-boards

Cuttings logs with a two-man saw

Beekeeping

Facepainting

Branding Leather

Playing Pioneer Games

Two Sessions:

Parents’ Night Out at the Y

Go ahead and treat yourselves – you deserve a night on the town! Leave the kids at the YMCA for a few hours in a safe, supervised and fun environment including games, sports, arts and crafts and more!

Ages 3 – 12 (Children must be toilet trained.) A snack will be provided.  Please be sure kids have dinner prior to arrival.

Come out and celebrate Independence Day with all of Conroe! Will be visible at all locations on the  south end of Lake Conroe!

Free Concert Series

Bring the entire family out for a free concert on the first Thursday of every month beginning in April and through September. The concerts begin at 7 p.m. at Heritage Place and concessions will be available. Don’t forget your chairs or blankets. Concerts will go on rain or shine.
