Performed by 50 local children, the Missoula Children’s Theatre’s twist on this classic tale takes you on a frivolous frolic through the French countryside. Ogres, Wood Elves, and Unicorns, along with mischievous Gremlins and playful Pixies join Rapunzel in this tale with a twist..or..er a braid! In short, Rapunzel and all the rest of the characters tell a silly tale of personal triumph and friendship.
ROCO (River Oaks Chamber Orchestra) is a professional chamber orchestra of 40 all-star musicians, distinguished guest conductors, and dynamic composers who come together from all over the world to present engaging performances of classical and original compositions. Founded in 2005 by oboist, Alecia Lawyer, ROCO was recently called “one of the most successful entrepreneurial projects in classical music” and is the most fun you can have with serious music. This 9th season, tittle, “Around the World in ROCO Ways,’ features countries each concert. The opening concert in September will focus on Asia and Asian influences.
